When Your Loved One Crosses Over

Losing a loved one is never easy. It does not matter if the loss was sudden or seen coming; when a loved one crosses over to the other side, grief is felt. It is felt by everyone differently, and the healing of grief as well.

Communicating with your loved one in spirit happens with readiness. For some, this communication is easier than for others. They see the signs sent their way, or remember the stories shared, life lived, and experiences had. Still, others grieve more hesitantly and take time to connect to their loved ones this way. Neither way of grieving is better or worse, just unique to the individual.

The beauty of grieving in community is that what you aren't ready to receive, another person is, and that person will relay that reception to you one way or another. Maybe your loved one is sending you signs left and right, but you are not seeing them. Not a problem. They'll find someone close to you and show the sign to them, and lo and behold, that person will let you know. They will share that they thought of your loved one who passed just the other day, or something similar to that. They will share in your grief, just as your loved one intended.

If you have trouble grieving, please don't feel bad. Everyone grieves differently. If you grieve quickly and are ready to move on more than others, the same goes for you. Move forward peacefully. Both ways of grieving are healthy. Both ways of grieving are natural. Both ways of grieving are how you were meant to grieve.
